Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name (optional), and hashed password. Your password is encrypted using bcrypt and is never stored in plain text.
Study Data: We collect the study notes, PDFs, and other materials you upload or paste into the Service. This data is used to generate flashcards, quizzes, and other study aids for you.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including study sessions, quiz attempts, time spent studying, and feature usage. This data is used to provide you with progress analytics and study insights.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Whop Inc. We do not store your credit card or payment details. We only receive your subscription status and tier level from Whop.
We use your information to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) generate AI-powered study content from your materials; (c) track your study progress and provide analytics; (d) process subscription payments and manage your account; (e) communicate with you about your account, updates, and promotions; (f) detect and prevent fraud and abuse; (g) comply with legal obligations.
Your study materials are processed by AI models (including third-party AI services) to generate flashcards, quizzes, study plans, and other educational content. Your data is sent to these AI services as part of the content generation process. We do not use your study materials to train AI models. AI-generated content is stored in our database and associated with your account.
Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), password hashing (bcrypt), and secure session management (JWT). However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data with: (a) Whop Inc. for payment processing; (b) AI service providers for content generation; (c) law enforcement when required by law; (d) service providers who assist in operating the Service under strict confidentiality agreements.
We use HTTP-only cookies to maintain your authenticated session (via JWT). These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) export your data in a portable format; (e) object to processing of your data; (f) withdraw consent at any time. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
